Umtanum Hall at the Kittitas Valley Event Center Friday, February 14th , 2020 Saturday, February 16,2020 KITTITAS COUNTY CATTLEWOMEN Learn about women ranching both past and present. They will provide information about the local beef industry. PAINTING WITH WATERCOLORS Local artist Jeannie Johnson will be demonstrating the use of watercolors. PINE NEEDLE BASKET WEAVING Local basket weavers will demo how to weave a basket using pine needles, sweetgrass, and other adornments. BLACKSMITHING Watch Blacksmith Curt Rosenkranz create objects from iron and steel through the process of forging. WOOD CARVING Watch local wood carvers demonstrate their skills as the sculpt wood by hand to create many unusual and useful items. HISTORY OF SHEEP RANCHING IN KITTITAS CO. Kittitas County Sheep Producers are dedicated to assisting the sheep ranchers and farmers in their ranch practices as well as educating community members, visitors, and more of the sheep industry. |
